Japan - Tokyo Day 1♥BlogItemTitle$> ♥
3:42 PM
Finally here I'm, blogging on my trip to Japan, Tokyo that I went during May. Was a last minute decision to tag along. Yup so I booked my tickets from UOB travel, packed my luggage before I embark on my first trip to Japan.
It was pretty fun. You know the shopping, the food, the weather and the Hello Kitty.. Hehe... Everything in Japan is like so expensive. My shopping places for the trip were the 100Yen shop, Diaso, supermarket and places selling skincare..
first time on JAL flight.
The inflight meal serving was alittle too little, but delicious. Seafood with zhen zhu rice. It was really great that I ate some bread toast & half boiled eggs before my flight. And yup, my flight was kinda early, but Baby & mummy came to send me off. 9 days away from home, away from Baby. I think he felt more lonely, cuz the moment I'm overseas.. I'm a happy girl.. Of course I missed his presence. Often wishing that he was around.
It's like in the past when I was still flying and if I had some unhappiness before or during my service on board. The moment I'm overseas, I'll push all that unhappiness aside. Instant happy! Maybe that is why I love being a crew. Though I'm a ex-crew... I still miss flying around =(
Throughout the fight, I drank countless cups of green tea ( cold & hot )... Green tea work wonders to our health as well as dark eye circles...
ohhhh... Would love to have the Bvlgari keychain & ring..
landing soon..
I was disorientated.. Don't know how to walk and stuff... Well maybe because when I disembarked from the plane, the first place I went was the toilet. And you'll see how well kept their toilets are... By the time I came out, everyone was gone. Japanese walk damn fast...
systematic way - they queue in lines to board the 'skytrain' to get through immigrations. How often do you see such a thing happening in Singapore...??
My flight was earlier than my ah ma & uncle, so I had to wait approximately an hour plus for them. And because SQ planes will land in the different terminal, so I had a chance to hop onto their airpot shuttle service. No skytrains for them, only this yellow bus...
Oh and the weird uncle that approached me while I was waiting for the shuttle bus. Weirdo exist everywhere. Thank God I have been travelling alone since young. I will never fall into the disgusting uncle's trap la..
I had to take a shuttle bus to the other terminal.. I guess Singapore Changi is much more better in this manner... Easier with the skytrain services.. So while I was waiting for the yellow shuttle bus, a weird 30 / 40+ man approached me...
He : Can I know if this bus goes to the other terminal?
Me : Yes, it does.
He: Where are you from?
Me : Singapore.
He : I use to live in Japan, but now I've migrated to Canada..
Me : Oh... ( SO you should know even better than me what, my first trip to Japan leh.. )
He : Can we exchange contacts eg: Email...
Me : I had to act dumb, saying that I don't use internet so often. Thus I seldom check my email..
Okie.. The rest of the conversations are all crap... No point mentioning... Come on uncle, I'm not a innocent blur little girl.. If you want to have those kind of 'ONS', find someone else la!
While waiting for them, I found myself a seat near to their gate. Saw a Japanese kid & his granny waiting for the kid's dad to return back to their arms from his business trip. Saw afew old ladies who was still healthy and strong, wearing track shoes and track pants.
after more than 10years. Finally, a trip with ah ma again. =)
you'll see lots of recycle bins in Japan.. Environmental friendly =)
We took the airpot limousine bus to our hotel. Taxi rides are so so expensive in Japan. They've got lots of different buses which brings you to your hotel lobby at a cheaper price than taxi. Bus frequency is about 30-45minutes. Just need to buy a ticket and queue for your bus.
I like how the Japanese take pride in their jobs, so passion and polite. Do you see bus drivers greeting you introducing himself to you when you're on the bus in Singapore. Out of so many bus rides that I have sat, only 3 drivers are worth commenting..
Oh and I love how fast and stable the driver drove. Tokyo drifters. =P
On the highway driving past Disneyland.
Journey to Hotel Metropolitan took about nearly 2 hours. Lucky we had some biscuits to munch on, and there was a mini toilet in the bus. Actually I was pretty afraid that the toilet will stink, but being in Japan their toilet is so damn clean.
It was about 9pm by the time we check-in. Famished and tired from all the travelling - flight & bus journey. Bathed had dinner and slept, to gear ourselves up for the next few days...
